Suspension setup (street/ strip) on zx12

So I have a 2000.. Racetech rear shock valves for slightly heavier weight then I am(came on the bike) and kyb fork ( said to be heavier valving be p/o) I want to lower the bike.. I have the rear dog bone so that's covered for the rear.. And I was thinking about sliding the fork tubes thru the triple trees for street riding as the front will be strapped at the track..

Anyone see any problems with doing so.. I had my zx6 setup the same way and didn't have any problems but I know the 12 is a diffrent story

You can safely slide them up about an inch or so. Be careful not to go too far as they are tapered, and the triples will not grip the tapered portion well.
