Erractic Idleing

So, once my bike is fully warmed up and ive been cruising a while, ill come to a stop sign or stop light and i noticed that the idle is around 1.4-16k bouncing back and forth. Any indication the cause of this? I have a whole laundry list of parts to put on my bike in the garage but as of right now there isnt anything modified to the bike. The only issue that is a known factor is the valve gasket has a slight slight leak in it, however the idleing didnt occur until just recently and the gasket has been leaking for a week or so.

Yes lower the idling to about 1 k after warming up the bike properly.thats where the idle should be once warmed up.Also is the erratic characteristic feeling throughout the rev range?

If yes then its probably plugs.i found the hard way after changing the battery, cleaning the injectors by taking them out and cleaning the tank and the fuel pump as well.so much for just changing a set of stupid plugs.

What is your setup...Power Commader,air filters,ect.ect....????
Sometimes the ECU or PC is "searching"/hunting for air or fuel....If you add some fuel to it on the low side it seems to calm it down a lot.....JMO....
