Starter issues
Hey all
Having a prob with my ZX12R B1H, thankfully on the first time I go to start her after getting back from a couple of weeks touring France.
When I went to use the 12 a couple of days ago the bike failed to start. After the first crank the starter noise changed to a faster and higher pitch, at which point the rumble of the cylinders churning into life also ceased. I'm guessing the starter is now failing to crank.
Just to tick off easy bits and be sure it wasn't a few days sitting idle causing it, I've charged the battery and added some fresh fuel. The issue's still the same, so I think it's time to get the spanners out.
Anyone come across this before?
I've got dreadful visions of splitting crankcases to tighten a grub screw or something simple (Dreadful because I've already got my other bike apart for a motor rebuild).
Cheers all

check the fuses...
make sure bike is in neutral turn key on and listen for the fuel pump hum from the gas tank...If no hum then your fuel pump went bad...

How old is the battery? What is the voltage when starting? If it is lover that 10V Your battery is toast. Try jumpwiring from car. If it then starts - change the battery. Also check that the bolt that goes trough battery case for minus cord is making good contact. I once find it had came loose and didn't make good contact.
