bearings attached to the lower triple
i bought a set of forks with triples included on ebay. i went to put them on tonight, and ran into a problem. i removed the lower triple that came on my crashed bike, and went to put the ebay one on. after trying to get it to fit snut, i realized there were two sets of bearings at the end that attaches to the bottom of the frame neck. i used the triple that came with my bike, and the forks are on, but i'm still afraid the triple that came on my bike is tweaked a little bit. i wont be able to tell until everything is re-assembled, and i'd rather go back and get the ebay lower triple to work instead of having to do it after everything is put back together.
SO, i was thinking the seller on ebay took the set of bearings from the top of the frame neck and just slid them onto the tube to send with the forks and triples. i took a screwdriver and tried prying the two sets apart from eachother, and i cant for the life of me get them to separate. if they were just slid on to be sent with, they shouldnt be in any way mounted to where they are and should just slide right off.
my bike is an 03, and no idea what year the ebay forks are from.
anyone have any clue whats going on?
