on going electric probs
Ok, so ive got new battery, and had my stator rewinded,
got a secound rr just in case,,
So i install the new stator, and a second hand RR known to be good,
start bike up and at idle im getting 13.9 to 14.1
start to rev bike up to 4k and then i see the volts dropping down to 12.9
but no further than that.
so i change to another RR and same again
I unplug the lights and then rev to 4k and i get about 13.8-14,1 volits.
I then unplug the RR and the bike picks up about 500 revs.
Ive got a gear postion sensor, a rev light/battery indercator, and a in line volt meter /lap timer .
also a yoshie ems.
Also i had a problem with the clutch switch, so i bypassed this a month or so ago.
Im about to go to a shop and get a auto elctric to have a look, but was hoping some one here may have a idea

So, i have changed the white wires around the battery and coming from the RR,
I have found that when i unplugg the lights the volts stay at 14.1.. and only drop on start up.
as soon as i plug the light back in the volts drop, as soon as i touch the throttle ,
and keep droping , to around 13,6 volts at 4000 rpm.
I have the correct bulbs,
any help would be great.

On the move my voltage can differ by 0.8 of a volt by switching my lights on or off. 14.1v with them off, 13.3 with them on. You'll find that putting the brake lights on has the opposite effect, when they are on your voltage will rise.

But should the volts drop, as i rev?
That is my concern,
as you said , with the lights off I get 14.1,
but as soon as i plug the lights back on, i still get around 14 to 13.9, but then as i increase the rpm at any level the volts will start dropping,,to around 13.5 on the low side. depending on the rpm.
