No seriously folks, Could I get the recall done without the letter. I think that is a dumb question now that I typed it but it takes me so long to type I can't take it back

a Recall should be put out to all dealerships, as long as your bike mes he criteria then you are can get the repairs done.....shouldnt need the piece of paper. However, if your dealership doesnt have a copy of the recal notice, then you man need it to prove your case....

I got mine done this morning. Got some breakfast at the grub place while they did it. Here's a question, maybe stupid....what stuff leaks out? Where does it come from? Is sealing the end going to fix the problem, or is it going to just fill up with whatever liquid is coming from somewhere else?

Crankcase oil aactually pushed out of the engine up the wires going back to the tail. If you look in the trunk at the wiring harness on the left side (between the tail piece plastic and subframe) there may verywell have been oil oozing out at the plug. It initialy makes you think that dirt or grunge got up inside the tail. If they fix it at the end inside of the engine cover the fix should work. A lot of the guys have already fixed it the same way Kawi is.

They sent the notices out to the faster Green bikes first, then red and the other colors. Perhaps this tells you something about the black ones!

I rode in to my local dealer to get some parts; the mechanic walked by mentioning they were slow & they could do the recall right now. I said sure, & they were done in about 15 minutes...cool.
