warrior,
how about some more ill-informed, virulent, acidic posts. Just because your rant on kevin makes you look like a dickless whiner, that doesn't mean you should quit posting.

I LIKE to see the pot stirred!!!! GO FOR IT!!!!

Please let me add .02. I do not personally know either of you. But, I have read a lot of what Kevin says and have not seen anything "Bias" in his posts. Since he is not God, he cannot be perfect, but in his favor, I think from the people that I "DO" know that have dealt with him, not being perfect is not for his lack of trying. BTW, If you had posted here a few thousand times and at least allowed us an insite of your mechanical abilitles, then I would better value what you said above. For now, You may want to find another site to speak badly of Kevin.

THANKS GUYS!!!

Huge EGO for sure (anyone that remembers his "sales pitch/insults" knows what I mean)...
That Snorkel cost ME a LOT of MY time/SLEEP (I got home from picking up the Prototype at 5AM...you DickWad), gas, 2 used-tires for JOHN'S bike...

ALL so that...I could help out the MAN that owns the bike we used for testing (my best friend) AND...to help get what we "hoped" would be a good product for the ZX12 owners...The Good Ones anyway...
I'm with Harry...I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire...

If you think you bothered me with ANY of your comments?!?!?! THINK AGAIN!!!
I'm sitting here laughing as I type this

Thank's again for the Back-Up folks

Kevin, It appears to be someone who thinks he knows everything about you. You must have kicked his ass when you were kids and he's just now growing some balls and trying to get back at ya.

Is this the same guy that had the signature like "Your front is your future and the rear is your past / or History?" Something like that. We were all on him because he refused to understand that a bike can wheelie and use up a lot of suspension and this air Box would be the first to go!

Also when Kawasaki gave up on top Speed (I know, was forced to) they enlarged the opening in their airbox also.

Just so we all remain objective in our quest for the "TRUTH"...

I have a Hans snorkle and honestly don't know if it adds anything for 1/4 mi, but I do know that the clearance/wheelie issue was solved when Hans put a "V" in the bottom.

A few weeks ago I got a HUGE wheelie (a bit past vertical) off the line and by "purest of shit luck" (tech term for VH ), I recovered by shutting the throttle. Needless to say the landing was brutal, toasting the oilpan/plug, snapping one of the inner cowlings in half, and re-validating the dent in my #3 header.

The snorkle was undamaged, even tho I race with the bike slammed/strapped AND the fork springs are so weak they are being replaced along w/the oil pan etc...

VH is prolly one of the the most persistant in the search for the truth of all the folks on this board, so I know he won't mind this slight correction

Or, maybe I just got lucky in not damaging the f fender/snorkle????

I to have the snorkel. As in the case of most peole with a motorcycle I don't buy everything because it is functional. If that were the case I wouldn't own a 12 I would be riding a VFR or some other ugly thing! But that said I have had nothing but compliments on the look of the snorkel, my horsepower numbers are amongst the biggest posted, the bike has never been passed on the open road etc. I like the snorkel, and Han's quality is hard to argue with. I can also say that I have experienced a clearance issue once on a monster wheelie. But then I also run my forks about 8mm farther up in the triple clamps to make the bike turn quicker and knew that I could have a problem. For the record the snorkel didn't budge but the fender sure as hell broke!!

Ninja 1200's BS above is out of line but I would caution all of the avid enthusiasts to be careful about comments about buying things that don't work or make horsepower etc. If we all lived our lives by this we wouldn't be polishing rims, triming fenders, removing blinkers, changing out mirrors, burning race gas, putting carbon huggers or other carbon bobbes on our bikes. And I would have to ask why anyone would buy a fancy as pair of Titanium studded gloves or have a custom painted helmet yad yada yada!

Anyway all that said is the place where I should say something about Harry?

Z, I agree with ya on the issue of "decorating" bikes. Thats what does it for some folks. And carbon is a popular look right now.
Some of my Harley buddies call my bike a "cookie cutter bike".
Everyone likes somthing different.

For me its all about the mechanics of riding a motorcycle. Its the fealing of man/machine interface. Making the bike do what you want it to do. Pushing it as a machine to its mechanical limits. I relentlessly pound it thru the gears powershifting it most of the time i'm on it.
If it came unpainted or primered i still would have bought it.

For me its all about function. If someone made a snorkel out of cheep ass black plastic and it looked like shit but made big improvements I'd have it on there. I'd just assume ride a 180 hp, rashed 900rr that looked all clapped out as long as it had good suspension brakes and most of all lots of power between the spars.
For some its all about chrome air cleaners and twist spokes or purple wind screens, pegs and tank bras.

I understand and appreciate where you are coming from. When I first started road racing my mentor told me that you need to have two bikes. One for your soul and one for racing. The racer being all function and the true test being the ability to have a person hand you a hammer and then put an x on the gas tank and you whack the tank with the hammer! No emotion or attachment just function. Well I can tell you that I still can't do that to my race bike or even my dirt bike!

This goes back to the thread about there being a little poser in most all of us!!

Yeap, I think so....the name was a little different = ninjawarriorzx12r

And to the rest of the guy's -
I have heard nothing but good things about HANS product as far as the quality. The issue (for me) is not about the quality of the product or how good it would look on the bike. If you like it - buy it!!!! I know how good looking and lightweight zhooligan's ZX12R is....If I was looking for the same type of results as zhooligan, I'd have bought it also!!! (BTW, Z - wanna trade??? )

My problem is that this Ninjawarriorassholeguy came on the board and was telling very false sales gimmick's to try to get us (the HP junkies)to buy them. Then he goes on to talk bad about the very guys (board members) that were trying to assist in proving these statements (gimmicks). When it could not be proven, then he shit on all the people that were trying to help.

The Real Issue is just this ninjawarriorasshole. It is a shame that this HANS product was involved with this "Dildo"(borrowed from Harry ). He had talked so much trash and started so much drama. It is hard to believe and understand if the Hans snorkel was a "Big HP gain"....

My 2 cents
Ang

How many have actually bought the Fitch Fuel Catalyst? Just another example of what the manufacturer claims will boost performance etc.. {Yeah Right} same thing with the Hans Snorkel. Claims better performance at speeds etc.. Granted the looks of carbon fiber is awesome but I am a person that is into the proven performance of bolt on power... piston kits, cams, exhaust, headwork, NOS and turbos not looks. These products have been proven time and time again. After reading about the Hans snorkel topic the first time around, I had come to the conclusion for the price of the unit and the mininal (sp) gains, it wasn't worth the price where I could spend it elsewhere with positive gains. Looks aren't everything but performance is. IMHO

I have the hans snorkel also and like it.Whether it gives me any more hp or not,I don't know. I like the way it sounds when you twist the throttle, the intake roar sounds kinda like cutting in the 4 barrel on a car.My bike is also slammed right now and I have hit the rev limiter doing wheelies and slammed down the front with no damage what so ever to my snorkel.
Ninjapussyboyzx-12 still sux!

Not to speak for "Angie", but having too much experience in growing Bones and broken Bones, and speaking to her about her break, she has a tough row to hoe. If she gets healed in one (1) year, she will be ahead of the profile. Growing bone after you stop growing takes forever. I was on crutches and cains for 3 years. My friends, family and co-workers asking and stating how much longer, actually put pressure on me that forced a decision that ended up me losing about 1/2" in length.

I know that it is "ALL" Good thoughts and pulling for her, but realize that it may take until as long as July or August this year and anything sooner is "Sooner". Again, I am not speaking for her, but from my own experience and one of the results. It is a hard thing on all of us to deal with because we all want her riding again and really enjoying life, but pressure is pressure and in this case is not a good thing. patience, Patience and more PATIENCE.
