03 ZX12R 50T sprocket who sells them, and would this be a correct setup?

Ive been looking for a 50 tooth sprocket for an 03 ZX12R. Anyone have one or know who sells them? I looked all over and the biggest I found was 48 tooth.
Im 230 suited 3"-9" swingarm extensions roughly 7" over, stock ZX12R strapped in front. Is this to much sprocket or doesnt anyone sell them this big? Looking to do a 17 front 50 rear... Any thoughts???

Vortex makes them. you will be ok with that gearing, maybe even get a 51. should trap about the top of 5th. i was using 17 51 for awhile, then 17 50, now 17 49 but with a lower first trans gear. 190 suited
we have a sprocket specialists 56 on dads bike, but got it used, it may have been special order?...

If you check with Schnitz racing they sell the Vortex sprockets and they list up to a 52 tooth....
http://www.schnitzracingstore.com/catalogs/catalog.asp?prodid=3279912&showprevnext=1
and I've always had pretty good service from them...

I personally run a very similar set-up, 17/50 gearing, and I'm about 230 suited.... I usually cross the line at around 11,000 rpm in 5th gear.....

i am geared 17/51 and you can even put the 16 on the front. but i must say in good air the 4.5 inch over i am at is not long enough for the 16/50 setup so hell no on the 16/51. i may try it at maplegrove while it is warm though. at cecil it wheelied a lot.

CJ, i weight 185 have 16-47 gearing on a 2002 61inch 12, lowered, Akrapovic, stock air filters-clutch-timing & NO Power Commander...Ran 9.35 & 152 on 87 octane pump gas...121 in the 1/8... temp was 80 degrees with low humidity...Yes stock motor never opened up...

I use to use mr9, just poured it in...I would get 124 in the 1/8 all day & 154 in the 1/4...

Crotch Rocket is at stock wb, so I would think some of his top end, would come from less weight of turning some chain, etc, and he runs at a lot of sea levelish tracks......., i think....?

I have never busted 150, but my good map turns me 122 to 124 in the 1/8

I index race a ton now, so I am generally taking a bunch out of it.......

The secret is not to drag the clutch & to lock the throttle ASAP...also to have a good tire on the rear, as in a new tire every 2 seasons even though it doesnt look wornout depending on how many passes you make in a season...If alot then a new tire every season...

By the way CJ, i had a 1.51 60ft. with the 9.35 i mentioned above...

Sounds to me your doin what you need to for your 12, i would put a 47 on your bike & launch a little higher RPM...maybe even a 46 since you have motor work...

You have to find the sweet spot...

my 9.26 pass was with a 18/ 50 setup 1.54 60ft foot shifting clean. 121 in the 1/8 148 in the 1/4. but the air at MIR was extreamly good for that pass. like crotch rocket says mess with things and find what works for you. i bet we all have a small stack of sprockets by now.
just get a 16,17,19,44,49,50,51 and have fun.this is what i ended up with anyway. i my self have my bike a 4 speed and at 18/50 i trap at 11700.

Man, thats big top end, for that slow of a 1000 ft time.

I wish I had time to test on a 1/4 mile more, and run my good map, that I run low 5.7s with.

Back to the guys bike here........

get your CHASIS set up before you waste a ton of time. LOW< LOW LOW, and set the suspension up. Get a coby adams pan, sidewinder, low pro tire, set it in the dirt with two inches of ground clearance, and you will be surprized how calm it will get.........

Even at short wb.

What times with stock wheelbase?

We haven't many good condition tracks here in finland so we are riding normally at old airports. No need for (big) extends because the slippery.
