i think that is intresting. the huge pipes one would think would be worse. but then again who just drives around with one of those on. i like my muzzy ti. for the price and its power with its short commings. some would not want the short commings and pay twice as much for equal or less power. with information the way it is now, any one that gets it and bitches should not have much to say.
the pro pipe goes on when i either go to the 1270 kit which i need to call muzzy and get new rings and pin clips or i degree the cams to what doug said to try, seems a long time ago.

Another new Muzzy pipe owner:

"I recently picked up a 2000 ZX12R. It came with a Muzzy titanium pipe and a Power Commander (serial port model). The bike suffers from serious fueling issues below 3000rpm. PO said it has a base map on there. I read about similar issues from long ago, most threads were inconclusive and a lot linked back to ZX12R.org

Obviously each bike is different and should be custom tuned but let me describe the how bad it is; taking off from a stop, light throttle, as the revs climb over 2500rpm and bike lurches forward as if I grabbed a handful of throttle. It literally feels like the bike goes from 20lb-ft to 50lb-ft in 500rpm span(2500-3000). Has anybody been successful in tuning this out? "

Assuming your bike is a 2000-2002, your bike can be tuned to run with almost zero hunt with the proper map, and the correct map will virtually eliminate the 2500 rpm hesitation (it's in the timing).

Call Dave at Muzzys and tell him what you need. You might need to refer to the map as "Doug's Map". If you can't get it from Muzzys, get back to me and I'll dig it up for you. (Might need to off-load it from my bike.).
The Muzzy pipe, being a 4-2-1 actually has great low end if properly mapped.

any idea on a yosh ems map for the same deal?

im runn an 01 with a full pipe and BMCs..

if i had the fuel and ign values from another map i could hand jam em in...

my 01 isnt hardely rideable in town with the 2500 rpm stumble...

do i need to fatten it up between 2 and 3k ?

any advice on where to put the timing?

thanks.

Uhh...so what, are you loaded with hurt feelings now? Give me a break. I posted the simple truth about these Muzzy systems. Doug is the one who is disputing the issue. Apparently, with a simple $300 ignition module and $300 custom tune, your Muzzy pipe can potentailly not have as bad of a flat spot as it does now.

You are not the thread starter here. If you need help, post up a thread as such. Honestly, WTF are you talking about?

I can't believe you would be having issues with this wonderful exhaust....it must be your imagination.

I went with +2 degree`s on the timing and more fuel ....
