thanks, John minka of bewitchedtattoo.com painted it, i dont know what u would call it so i just put a nickname on the tag, I gave him a few ideas of what i was lookin for n he said do u want me to tell u how i'm going to do it or show u, i said show me. He got rivet panels like on a ship or submarine, i'll try n show a close up pic of what i'm talkin bout, but check him out, cool guy n just say Chris with the zx12 sent u, his tattoos are off the hook as well, his portraits are spectacular, when it was put in as a readers ride in superstreetbike mag i gave him all the cred, i think no matter what u do to a bike a paint job will make or break it

By comparison, my BST setup on the 14 is around 26...with sprocket and rotor.

Lean A/F with black exhaust tip = Exhaust leak sucking in air through the pipe, fooling the sniffer which is placed in the muffler.
I'd clean the muffler tip then go for a spirited ride, check the tip. If there's carbon build-up (black)... you've got an exhaust leak. (assuming you haven't changed the map/fuel/timing on the bike since that dyno pull).
Tried it out n tip is almost like a white chalk, i had taken the packing out the pipe (yeah i know) plus at lower throttle postions there are big numbers, could it be loading up n only blowing the black smoke from the initial punching on the throttle? the full throttle runs i just did only showed a white exhaust tip, maybe its too lean up top to make more mph on the back half, i know this is beating a dead horse until i get the tune, but hey, i aint worked in 4 weeks, lol, n dr said i got til the 17th before i can go back, so it might be middle of next month before htp sees me, lol

If the black smoke only appears on the initial "blow-out" hit, that's normal.
Pull the plugs on all 4 cylinders, make sure you number them with a marker so they go back in the same cylinder it was pulled from. Take pictures and report back.
Also, dump the oil and check for water/coolant.... just to be on the safe side.
I'd do this BEFORE I took it to the dyno and replace the plugs with new ones before tuning.
Until then, I wouldn't continue beating on the engine at the track... you could potentially hurt the engine, if you haven't already. For all you know, you could have a clogged injector on one cylinder, or a broken electrode on a plug, or a small head gasket leak between cylinders, etc.....
Your tuner will never know either, all he's going to see is the COMBINED A/F from all the cylinders.... so if one cylinder is running at 15:1 but the other 3 are running 12:1.... the A/F might read something like 13:1 on the dyno. You'll end up with a horrible tune and less power.... but it will LOOK good on the A/F according to the dyno, and you'll most likely attribute the low power reading on the large tire without giving it a second thought.
Then when you get to the track, one cylinder is detonating like a mofo and pushing cylinder temp through the roof, while the others are being drowned in fuel.
Just something to think about before spending all that money on a custom dyno tune that may end up masking a problem rather than fixing it.

Don't feel bad, chances are your dyno tuner wouldn't have thought of it either, or even bothered to check unless you specifically asked and paid him to do so.
I try to explain to people that DYNO TUNERS are often just looking for that quick buck tune. For the amount of time the bike is actually on the dyno vs the money spent on a custom tune.... you're paying roughly $100 an hour. Dyno's are big money makers and are often booked solid at the more popular shops.... few will take the time to go through it with a fine tooth comb before beating it up on the dyno.
With race engines, you should never take the chance.... (especially if you're using old worn parts like the stock pump, stock injectors, stock plugs, etc). Odds are that one of these key components are either at the end of their life or simply too worn out to handle the extra stress placed on them by an engine output significantly greater than what they were designed to handle.
It's often that $50 part that goes and takes that $5000 engine with it.

First time back n already went 9.75, i think thing will get 9.50's n if i do 9.50's at 760 lbs theres a few guys down there that are going to look pretty bad running their mr 9 n stretched 7-9 inches, 2 to 3 tenths faster, lol, if i could only pull of a 1.4x 60' i could do it!!

One thing to consider when it comes to tuning on the dyno......
(If you have block off plates on the valve cover this will not apply)
Like Phantom mentioned, additional air into the exhaust will "Fool" the sniffer. If you have your air tube from airbox going through valve into the exhaust ports, your tuner will tune richer and richer to overcome the scavenged air comming into the exhaust.
If that system is still in place on your 1270, have it diconnected and blocked off to get your A/F under 13:1.
My 14:1 CR 1270 likes A/F around 12.7-1.
