Sorry for the boring posts, i'm down for 3 to 4 more weeks after this back surgery, n yes........I am hella bored, the 12 side seems so dead now that the 14 came thru which is understandable, n facebook almost got me into trouble wit by babymomma, lol! I just put a 49 on the back which now is geared like going -1 front, n +2 n the back, so as soon as i get my act together i will go to the track n see what it does, so far after 4 trips n 11 passes i've went from 10.37 to 9.87, mayb i can see some 9.6x

You can go more than a 49 teeth out back. That is a tall tire. I'd start with a 51 or more, personally!!

Shane, its a 240 tire, i wouldve done a 300 but back the(4yrs) they only wider tire kits u had to go thru a jackshaft (2 chains) n that setup looked more like a pain in the u know what to maintain. The total weight is 760 wit me on it. It didnt help me going to the track once a month either, lol, I got faster by watching my shift points, at first i didnt even look (nerves) n then i was shifting at 10500 or so, n after some advice on here i started to shift just after 11k. The air ride kinda makes me wheelie to easy out the hole, its like pushing down on a basketball, u know how it pushes back after u push it, lol, Actually the bike is bottom out in the pic, i raise it up wit the air ride when i ride it, i can put a big girl on the back n it never hit the plate, lol

oh, n we all know u like BIG sprockets!!!!!!!!!!!

You can (should) shift it at near 12k indicated. The stock tach reads about 500 rpm over actual and the bike won't hit the limiter until about 11600 actual!

Good ET based on what you are telling me!

My gearing on the 14 is pretty moderate...-1, +2 at 65". Some other guys here run -1, +7 (Wheelie, Eklipse636)...not my cup of tea.

This was how i bought it 4 years ago. I will definately try 11500, n if i can go to 12 that would be more mph n hopefully faster et's

Get an air shifter, bigger sprocket, and punch that button at 12k indicated.

I see you going 9.50's or better on some good gas.

That will wake some fools up, and you can do it on that 240 tire, I promise!

WOW 9.5s mayb wit one of u guys on it pullin 1.4x's, This is a 1270 wit mild headwork tuned by the builder, i had posted the dyno chart before n everyone said its as ugly as my facebook pic wit the wig on, lol,, the bike had 171 wit the tirekit ON it prior to rebuilding the 2nd time around, the 1270 was put in the first time, the head was touched up the 2nd time due to added compression n the high mileage on the bottome end, lol, now u can see what i'm workin with n why i asked bout HTP performance. Its underpower, exhaust tip black as Wesley Snipes, n blows black smoke when cracked on! Plus it had 10 or so more ft tq the first time......looks to me really lean compared to guys running afr's in the 12.6- 13.1 range, i also put on a muzzy advancer n set it close to 3.5, u know that muzzy (every line is 2 deal) so its somewhere in between 2 n 4, lol

The a/f looks lean as hell...but the black smoke tells me it is rich. Take it to HTP and get a good tune. I am telling you, it can go 9.50's with you on it, with some good$$ gas. The 1/8th mph (114) is real good for the total weight as it is (compared to a stock 12R motor)!

If i plug the pc3 up to my laptop n start the bike n hold it at 5k indicated on the tach i should see the rpm difference on the laptop right or does the reading for the pc3 come from the reading on the speedo? And i would guess if it reads 4400 at 5k indicated that would be the difference at say 11500 indicated actually reading being 10900 or would the difference be less profound at lower rpms and increase in the higher rpm range

Trust me, it will spin to 12k indicated without hitting the limiter.

The tach error changes as the revs climb, if I recall. Rpm on the laptop should show actual.

Not sure, 25mph is the average back half, i dont think i'm short shifting ne different than the first half, my fastest was 140, maybe its too lean up top.......not sure buddy, ne info will b useful, but my strongest guess is the tune, is it possible my cams arent setup for the engine, pulls harder down low n runs out of gas up top? Or maybe the heavier rear wheel effects the back half more than the 1/8th

I was thinking the same thing (wheel) but it could be a number of things. If you can compare with other riders there on the same day it might become more obvious, especially someone who runs right wth you.

Lean A/F with black exhaust tip = Exhaust leak sucking in air through the pipe, fooling the sniffer which is placed in the muffler.

I'd clean the muffler tip then go for a spirited ride, check the tip. If there's carbon build-up (black)... you've got an exhaust leak. (assuming you haven't changed the map/fuel/timing on the bike since that dyno pull).

I'm going to check on that, it'll b pretty fun! Might should get a tall clutch stack height prior to going huh? Hateto go n get sidelined for slipping clutch, ............ nevermind I just visited the site, looks like an awesome deal n would luv to try it, plus I can play wit a couple maps, too bad the seminar one is tomorrow, n the next one is testing only, I need sum instruction, lol, I want those 1.4x, may even take the air ride off n run the stock shock, it would b more consistent
