What does your ZX-12 mean to you?
Tell us all what your 12 means to you and why. Allow me to give an example...
Owning my ZX-12 has always felt like dating a high-strung, disloyal, supermodel who expects to be pampered and lavished with expensive gifts. (We'll just pretend here that I know what the supermodel dating game is like.) It takes a lot of money and effort to keep her happy, butwhen she's happy, the sex is great. Unfortunately, the few periods of great sex are separated by frequent visits to the shop for expensive maintenance or repairs. Every time she refuses to start, or just stops running half way to wherever, it's like catching her cheating on me with my mechanic.
Pro's to owning a 12:
1-12's simply kick ass.
2-Dedicated riding position eliminates posers.
Cons to owning a 12:
1-Expensive membership.
2-"Good afternoon officer."

As with any motorcycle or car; nothing. I would sell it if the price is right

My 12 means an adrenaline rush waiting to happen. Also the fastest way to make those annoying trips to the store for one item that you forgot. It's a pretty good conversation piece too.

My 12, it means women fawn over me when I ride it. It means many men with lesser bikes hate me. (Shit half my co-workers). My only regret is that I never got to see what the women that actually got on it looked like from behind. Yes it is an expensive habit, and yes for the right price it would be sold.

I like bikes and the 12 felt "right" to me the first time I rode one.
As far as spiritual meaning....uh nothing except a sanity keeper.
I used to frequent bars & clubs when I was younger. It wouldnt be hard to drop $100/ night on drinks (even being friends with the bartenders)
Decided Id rather "keep" my money going into toys. Been a fun 10yrs so far...hehe
Cars are moderately interesting to me. Bikes are always faster.

My 12 is something fun. It represents time, patience (for a guy without any), and it is a kick ass machine. It is also an irritation as I work on perfecting it. Especially the frigging mapping (now comes the learning curve for the Yosh Box) It is for sale like all cars, bikes etc. for the right price.
I have to admit the next project might be a Titan or sme kind of badass Harley type bike or a Hooligan / naked bike with 175 or more hp.

a certain sense of minimalistic freedom; the chance to road trip in a state that feels almost as natural as walking or on horseback (as opposed to taking the kitchiin sink w u in the car)

Of course they are bankrupt. $50,000 harleys are hard to sell. I can't pick up a $50,000 Titan for about $10,000 at the moment. And unlike a lot of people I can have a good time riding lots of different machines.

Don't take that bankrupt statement wrong ZH, I'd like a Titan too, and a KX, and a ......
I thought the bar bike market would have dried up a long time ago but some are still going, it's just starting to slow down now. I think if it wasn't for Discovery Channel JJ would be selling used cars about now. Instead he's making a good living at it. At least his bikes are true "customs".
10K for a Titan32 ? better go get it.

Life before my 12 found me wishing for a bike that would provide more power than I could ever need, any place, any time, and everytime I wanted it. Life after my 12 is enjoying trying to improve on perfection Yes, for the right price I would sell, and start all over with another 12.

I always thought it was about riding the baddest, meanest, fastest mutha-phkas on the road? When your cruising down the freeway, it's like driving a supercharged Ferrari in a "sea" of golf-carts!...that feeling of invincibility, ya know what I mean?
Then there's the normal reasons, best looking, best feeling (acceleration wise), best collectable that I could afford (last of the unrestricted bikes), most admired at the bike haunts (poser value), etc., etc., etc.
I love it; & I, like others, would not sell it unless the price was right...
