That looks repairable.
1st scrape out the big chunks of deposited material carefully.
Then use 2x steel wool to remove the fine stuff.
The important part is to make sure you have removed all built up material from the bearing.
There may be some grooves in the bearing bed which are okay, but any built up material will make the bearing have too little clearance. Then depending on how much clearance you have the bearings can be purchased in different thicknesses and plastiguaged.
I have seen worse. Bearings are soft and when spun deposit material instead of gouge.

Thanks Ted. I was about to give up on the case.

Kawasaki color coded their bearings and they are of different sizes. The only real way to figure out what you need is look in the manual and it states the different sizes. Measure, measure, measure, then plasti-gauge.

You could send it out and have that surface welded and then re-honed, I imagine. Contact Y2KZX12R or try Rick Stetson at Harry's Machined Parts in MA.
I don't believe that oversize (OD) bearing shells are readily available.

They are not, you are correct Shane.
Find a new set of cases, and learn from the mistake..........

I believe those bearing beds are inserts and if I am correct about that, they probably don't like any welding. I am not saying it can't be done, it may be very difficult.
You are correct they don't come in oversizes but they do come in different sizes for good fitment.

The case is screwed. The only possible way to repair is welding and line bore. heaper to find another case.

It is almost impossible to tell from the pictures. What we are seeing could be nothing more than bearing material that will clean off. It is okay for the surface to have some scratches in it, as long as the main surface is mostly undamaged. Again it needs to be cleaned to see what is really there.
