Knfilter - oil!
I didnt spray any oil on my Kn-airfilter after cleaning last year.
All seasson with dry filter!
How much - if any - damage can this do to engine?
By the way - my 12 is beautiful Black now!
Red and purple was kinda girly! Haha!

just look into the velocity stacks, and wipe your finger around the circumference of the bore.
The dirt you get on your finger is what the filter media should have scrubbed from the air.
Ive seen some run with no filters....but they know its much like "sandblasting'' the cylinders
over a period of time...
It is impossible to quantify damage done without a previous benchmark compression test
but I wouldnt stress over it .....unless you rode 20,000 miles in a dusty environment.

I never oil mine, but I dragrace and want as much air as possible. I you are street riding you should oil it IMO..

I have oiled it now!
Ride only on tarmac but some dust is it of course!
