zx12r problems starting
my 2001 zx12r has a problem starting. when i turn the key on sometimes it turns everything on and the fuel pump runs but other times it just cuts out when it tries to start. it wont turn over at all and all the fuses are good fuel pump is good battery is good but still same problem.also the fi light flickers when you turn the key to the on position. any suggestions???

You need the manual ... There are a few PDF
manuals floating around.... It's fairly simple to
read the FI fault codes....Does the FI flash
when you turn the key on and try to start?
There are two modes, self diagnostic... and dealer mode
It will be a series of long and short flashes..
Example: flash....flash....flash.flash
would be 22.. Make sense?
This is a poorly worded explanation but it's
a start...

I've had the same kind of problem and it could be either because of the ignition lock being the cluprit. Could also be the gear sensor. But having the wire schematics is a must...
