I've been thinking about going with you all for the frist time,
But I hate to stop and wait on all you guys when I get my tires up to temp. And you all may think theres something wrong with me. When you hear uncontrolled laughing in my helmet when I do stop. I really like those roads

I like deals, but man o man is the Cherohola fun on a 12....and there are a lot of other roads up that way that are equally fun IMO...Warwoman Rd, ga hwy 68/60, sc hwy 28, the foot hills prkwy, ga78 over by Helen, Wynah Rd over by the gap....oh hell I could go on with a long list but those are some that stand out to me....when ya'll to DGV is it going to be strictly the gap, or are ya gonna branch out to some of the other roads in the area, I usually put 200-400 miles a day on the 12 when I am up there.....but then again I stay at TWo and travel the distance to the gap

HDL, Barto is from Chicago, I'm from Michigan. I live in Novi, a western suburb of Detroit, a FAR western suburb.

sc28? right near the state line?
hrmmm last time i ventured out there (august) it wa NOT worth the ride to get there, gravel, poorly done patches etc.
closest i have gotten to wreckingsince last summer was on that road.
there are some nice roads though, ga/nc 28 are much nicer than sc28, personally i'll just turn around at the sc line and head north again ;P
weekday trip only though....weekend traffic is deadly
another good road is up a bit north of knoxville, near oakridge.
brushy mountain state pen on left, sign on right: curvy road sign, with "next 25 miles" under it.
wayah road is nice as well.
ps: pray for dry weather....and no tnhp stings...

Please just keep in mine that you are an intergal part of this group therefore act as an kind and caring representive to those board members that have not ever been to DG.
Taking a trip to a far away place and either staying with or near strangers can be a scarey thing, you should be trying to put peoples concerns at ease and not further exasperate the fears of attending one of these trips.
Please begin to conduct yourself in such manor.
