Little over 300 miles today, GPS track

It's this time of year when it's nice to be in Florida while the northeast is shoveling...

Hey Dave,
Ever come close to hitting any gators?

Do they cross the road often?

And why did the gator cross the road?

No gators, it's very rare, especially in central or north Florida. Snakes, dogs, deer, foxes, coons, freeking armadillos, I've even seen a bear, no gators yet.

Why did the gator cross the road ? They like chicken.

You can kiss my slightly frostburned ass! Rode today. Wasn't too bad, mid 40s. Dress right and it's no sweat... literally!

When I moved to Florida I arrived on July 4 in a car with black vinyl interior. Was hating life for a while.

I moved to Florida (Tampa) on August 4th in 1969. It was like moving to Hell. A year later and "hey whats the big deal"!!! I still laugh at people who run off to Florida for a summer vacation!

If I remeber corectly I read somewhere thast San Diego has the most moderate climate in the country. Must be nice. Although I don't envy the traffic. But I guess if you live there you learn where to ride.

Don't go north on the 5 in the morning or south on the 5 in the evening, or go on the 15, or the 8......the traffic is for all the people that live out in the middle of nowhere and commute. If you live in the middle of everything, then there is no traffic.....

or if you commute to Chicago every week like me, then all you see is empty roads and sun every weekend in San Diego.
