Ever see those inexpensive gauge faces for sale on Ebay??
....well I broke down and bought a set to see what they were like.
Not bad for $10, but I wouldnt pay a dime more. I paid $11 with shipping.
The caption on the auction reads "needs some work to install".
Well he isnt kidding. I still have some minor detail work to do, but its not bad for a cheapo substitute. A friend of mine paid over $120 for a set for his blue ones from another company. They are nice too, but Im glad Ive got the extra $109 in my pocket...hehe.
Here is what mine look like installed.

That picture shows them installed, but not completed. I will install the needles once I finish the cutouts. (notice how they are not perfect)

Kawachan, probably about 90mins total.
I broke my Xacto knife so I used a scissors and cut the faces out carefully. They come on a 1/2 of transparency.
The holes in the middle were done via a new razor blade, thats why the cuts are sloppy. Walmart opens at midnight, so Ill get a knife then and finish.
I used alot of alcohol swabs to keep everything clean. Pryed the needles up with a plastic fork. Im going to experiment with the KM dials I have and see if I can get an "indiglo" look to them.

Can you adjust the speedo to give an accurate sweep since you pulled a 185 face plate off ?
Oh, Wal Mart here is open.
