Am I a Squid?
I like to do wheelies, but I don't do them in the middle of town or in residential areas (although to be honest I have done them before). I also go very slow when kids are near the road.I never speed through school zones.I also usually wear protective gear.
I did a 200 yard+ wheelie on a four lane today when I was going out to where I work.There weren't any cars near me at all and the highway was divided.

You're not a Squid dude. You're a pretty safe rider, If you weren't I wouldn't ride with you. In fact this thread poses a question to me. Do I ride too many wheelies in unsafe areas???? You and I both know the answer to that.

Harry if being a "squid" means turning your bar stool upside down to make the seat more "comfortable" for you and 3 friends, well then yes, Id say you are a squid!

Harry you're not a squid, in fact I think you are a great rider and a safe one. Like Rick said I wouldn't ride with you if I thought you were. You saw what I did when another (not mentioned but you know whom Im speaking of) rider was acting spooky. I backed off, let him pass then bitched about him to you and Rick.
Rick I don't have any problem with all the wheelies you do, in fact I like watching em' cause you know I suck at them myself. Just try not to do em' in front of a Tennessee trooper again OK? LOL

You are not a squid for the following reasons.
1) You own Leathers.
2) You own a helmet.
3) I have never seen you ride without a helmet.
4) You don't where ski googles while riding.
5) You own a ZX-12.
6) I have never seen you ride in sandals (House Shoe's Rick).
7) Even though you have some scratches on you bike they are not covered by a large sticker of a band aid.
8) You don't have any neon or strobes.
9) You enjoy something other then racing from light to light in town.
AND THE 10TH REASON WHY YOU CANNOT BE A SQUID.

Otis, I'm glad you don't mind the wheelies. Hell I love to ride wheelies and have done thousands of them. I just sometimes forget that the fuzz isn't as appreciative of my "one wheeled" antics. I'll never forget that ride where I wheelied past that Trooper. Damn that was some funny shit.

Hey, you know the life of a "chicken hawk", Ninjaman. Its hard for Harry to work his customers down to a nub and post at the same time. He would need 4 hands and 2 mouths for that....lol

Yeah, I've been asking myself that questions as well.
Truth is, I think a squid is anyone who does something "unsafe" and endangers unnecessarily those around him (riders and nonriders alike).
I don't really think I'm a squid, but lately given that I'm prone to practising wheelies on public roads and also the fact that I now have two speeding tickets in town (both times on divided four lanes with NO cars present - but the police officer didn't like my thinking about what was 'safe').
Maybe I'm a bigger squid that I think... :=
