I'm running around 9-10 lbs. but with the big 240 tire and the full exhaust only around 245hp. I'm sure if I went with a stock tire and a dump pipe I would be close to 300 but I like the way they both look so won't be changing them. I need to change gearing before making a GPS run but the last time I was out it showed 220mph on the speed-o but I know that is way off. It is fun to drive as it has an air shifter with an rpm activated switch which will auto shift at 11,400. I have never used the nitrous and probably won't. It was put there by the prior owner. It is fun to race someone and have them pull away and then a VERY short time late pass them as if they just hit the brakes.

That is veryyyyyyyyyy pretttyyyyyyyyyyy! I too have a 240 n was wondering how close is ur chain to ur frame, u can probably only stick a quarter between mine n if the chain gets to loose it will rub it from a dead stop pullin off, its been on there for going on 4 years, u may get mixed reactions from having a turbo wit the wide tire but if u still got 245 to the wheel who cares, lol, is that a 6" swingarm or 4". also did u do the turbo urself

It's a 6 inch Mcintosh and it doesn't rub. The motor has CP turbo pistons with stock bore. APE heavy duty studs, adj. cam sprocket, heavy valve springs etc. Just mostly stuff to make it live. The bike was a one off done a number of years ago in Nashville by a guy who custom made everything. He was well known for doing the old Kawi stock 750 turbos. I just had the whole bike gone over by Todd at Midwest Cycle Supply in Minneapolis where he did a complete motor rebuild. He won the Daytona Brute Horsepower dyno shootout last year with a ZX11 turbo that made I think 550 hp.

Looks nice Bob. What are your goals for the bike in terms of LSR this season? I like the full pipe, it kills potential but man if someone rolls up from the right and don't see the filter?!?! LOL!!!

I'm not sure Ali, I need to get a taller gear on it and then take it out on 27 and see what it will do. I will never change the pipe just for that reason and I always pull next to people on their left, ha ha. I still need to have Sal tweek the upper ranges a little, wot is OK but cruising around 130-150 it's a little lean so need to get some data logging done on my Innovate stuff.

theres gotta be a way to route some tubing to the turbo so the filter doesnt stick out. think cold air intake from a ricer car. total sleeper to the ignorant

dad wants a turbo eventually, with the dump pipe going to the end of a meg from a side winder....

I know you can do it on the Busas but I haven't seen it on a Kawi. One stealth side isn't too bad though.

hi bob,
i noticed the inner fairrings arent installed on your bike. i kknow the bike runs cooler like that, i ran mine like that until it cracked the upper fairing. the wind gets in there and puts pressure between the side fairing and upper fairing where those 2 meet. right there around the middle screw(you know where the 3 screws are horizontal). it cracked around the middlescrew. i just thought i would add that. the bike looks great though.

BobK, get the inner chin fender that goes in front of the header/turbo sorted out before you click 3rd gear. Ask Phantom and Sal what they saw first hand on an A model when you DON'T have it mounted up securely. If you have to, make some custom brackets that help tie the left and right lowers VERY securely. At Loring I got some REALLY heavy duty thick zip ties from Entropy....4 total, tying the inners together to themselves....regular ones would bust loose topped out and would end up melting on the headers.

A.

I guess I have been lucky as I have been well over 180mph with no issues. I'll talk to Sal.

That'd be Mike Chestnut, aka Horsepower Mike. Good guy that was a great engine builder and fabricator.
Wish he still fooled around with bikes........he knew his stuff!

BTW: Great looking bike.
