More Presssure in Air Box and Snorkel
Anybody have any ideas how to get more ram pressure in the air box.. I believe Psycho1122
got a maximum of .824psi at wide open throttle.. Any ideas?

perhaps removing the resonators from the ram air tubes.

I removed the resonators from the ram air tubes and sealed them up with plexi glass. Made the intake roar louder not sure I gained any power. Air tech streamlining makes a special air box for a zx7rr. They add a 3rd ram air duct under neath the existing snorkel. What to you all think?

i think there are far easier and proven ways to make more power. the larger "monster" snorkel never worked well

All those cost money. How about remove all the heavy crap on your bike that you don't really need...and lose weight yourself....big difference and its absolutey free.

I would be sure to follow the primary rule......
This basic rule of a pressurised airbox's "intake pipes" as stated in Kevin Cameron's "Sportbike Performance Handbook",pg 51-line c. states.............................
"The intake pipes MUST enlarge gradually as they approach the box, not enlarge suddenly from a small diameter. Sudden enlargements waste alot of ram pressure. The angle of ENLARGEMENT should not exceed 10 degrees."
If I remember right......... the 00', 01' 12's system gained about half the .824 lb. over ambient pressure on the road over 150 mph. The other half is what the system gives you over static on the dyno. (System overcomes vaccume from engine intake).
