new stator

i just got a new stator for my 01'. i already cut the plug out 2 years ago and i forgot how the 3+1little wire hook together with the 3 brown wires. i think i seen it in a post back when i cut the stator connector out that it didnt matter specificly how the wires tied together. could someone please reassure me on this! 2 of the wires are still getting very warm. i think it ran like this before but forgot!

It doesn't matter on the three yellows .... don't forget the white
wire going to the center of the frame

what voltage do you see @ 3000 rpm.... At the battery? 13.6
if it's much lower you'll have to start hunting .....

just replaced with new stator, oem was cooked.
waiting for battery. should be ok. battery was reading 11.8
with old stator(while running)
it was still cranking but sputtering at low speed.
i figure the stator killed the battery(year old-deka etx14).

well, took the bike out today to see how she was doin after the new stator install. no luck. still showing as low as11.8v on the volt meter. thats while running.
the wires are getting real hot and the reg/rec. is so hot you cant hardly touch it.
stator cover is really hot too.
also new battery.. any help would be great!

Sounds like a bad regulator to me.

the manual says less in one direction and 10times the other direction
im testing 0 in one direction and 5.8x in the other direction on all test leads.
should it be in the 10's?

also my stator is only putting out 78 volts at 4krpm. new stator. damn....
