One of the funnest bikes I have ridden is a DB4. 900 Ducati Vtwin and it handled extremely well and weighed almost nothing. Very short wheel base and Wheelied without any effort. Very fun.

I am merely responding to flite leader's comments about his Bimota. Being polite to someone who has a motorcycle made by a bankrupt company that is unlikely to really be saved and therefore parts are going to become nearly impossible to get.

BIMOTA
yeah Z that & the V Due' were probably the 2 lightest
BIMOTAS
the Yamahas & the Susukis probably the fastest
they all handled very well
they all were beautiful & well crafted
oh yeah by the way they have been bankrupt 3-4 times....... the various importers also
crash or wreck you are correct about parts
engines & running gear not so bad

Yeah I am confused about the Italian government/courts. I saw that the Italian Courts have refused to let the American Bimota Importer buy the company out of banckruptcy. I guess jobs are not important in Italy!

BIMOTA
at 6ft 5in i understand
BIMOTA from the start was racing with strong
engineering their 1st customer was Yamaha racing
they built some 1 off racing frames used in Europe & daytona
the KB2 Lazer was designed as their 1st small 4 cylinder
the KB2TT lazer was designed for the European TT
championship which they won
(not Isle o Man.......actually 600cc & less)
European racing at the time was 500cc 2 stroke
& some 750 cc racing
was also the first bike with the (at the time considered)
Radical front geometry 23 degrees
was also the 1st bike that was designed with the placement
of the weight of the rider at a specific location
to control polar moment
trivia & bits

BIMOTA
dont know about the courts
they only did a few hundred bikes a year anyway
not enuff to sustain jobs
dont know enuffabout how they were sold in europe
they never really had a dealer network stateside
as good as they were
as expensive as they were
people wanted them to be a boutique type bike
very hard to sustain sales that way
1 model would sell good
another no zip at all
they lost alot of momentum when TAMBURINI went to Ducati
the 916 kicked everything in the balls
design & engineering wise
went to the Guggenheim.... to
the ART of The Motorcycle
the MV was centerpiece of the latest at the time
upstairs the 916 still was pullin them in
of course side by side would be like dating
twins & having a long weekend
a mountain cabin....no phone& cold cold beer
as they say the rest is history...............
good nite fellas

Well isn't that nice...
I still think they look fruity.
Almost as bad as that Crystal encrusted ZX12-R, that was in the case at the Superbike show last year. (SEATTLE)
Except the 12, even in sequence, looked more butch!
