+1 on the front for milage ?

Anyone ever added a tooth on the front over stock to get better fuel milage on long runs ?
I am considering some IronButt stuff next summer
Thinking going back to stock for sure but wondering about a +1 on the front ?

To use 19 tooth sprocket You have to grind some material off the front chain guard. And the avaivability of the 19 tooth is limeted also. Landspeed guys have used them though... Maybe it would be easier to go down on back...

I wanted the same thing. I went -2 on the back and it worked out just fine. Even fits with the stock chain.

And if you care, it makes the wheelbase a bit longer making it easier to plant the power especially with a passenger and luggage on the back.

justr remember to the math will not work out unless you figure the % ratio change and use that with how far miles wise you went on the tank. down 2 will make the actual miles you drove higher than what the odometer shows.

I got me a Speedo Healer
I am just gunna go back to stock gearing and see what my range is once corrected. I am really hoping for at least a 160mile range at an average speed of 75-90 MPH
