Time for Race Tech

Getting cold, think I will do the Race Tech thing. Can't access the the spring search or the Gold Valve application chart so I sent them an e-mail, because I will do the work myself. Swft, you had it done didn't you?? Are your external adjustments still opreable? My ZX11 lost its rebound adjustment when I did the cartridge emulators.

Hi TedG,

Yes, all the adjustments are still there. The Gold Valves replaces the stock valve body, unlike in my SV, which uses a damping rod, and emulators.

Yeah the cost for doing the rear shock gets you close enough to start thinking ohlins! The Forks work awesome. I need only ride Necromancer stock bike to remind myself what a nice job race tech did with my forks.

Swft, yes for some reason it times out. I did my own rear on my ZX11, and the hardest part was taking it down and having it recharged. Oh yeah filling it with oil wasn't a real cakewalk.

The new magic number for recharging the shock according to Race Tech these days is 175 lbs. My buddy and business partner just got back from a six day school at Race Tech.
