Jason.... buy the Akro and have it framed and hung on your wall as a piece of art. And then look at one of the other pipes! Arata is being sold by Dan Kyle Racing. A full Ti system is something like $800 or so. I look at the Arata at Laguna an it look like a quality piece but I have no real data on it. Be a trend setter, buy something original and tell us about it!!!

Yeah, be a trend-setter and buy one of those "Lazer" pipes. (or, is it Laser?)

anyway, let us know how it works on the dyno!

My experience with D&D is they are usually the loudest pipe around. Obnoxious comes to mind!

Get the pipe that has the best features for you. I would buy the Akrapovic again. To each his own.

Nothing new to add to the debate, but just thought that Knowledge is always good! The man that invented the Ti-Force is the Same man that invented the Arata (Sort of like the man that invented the Power Commander made the Fuel Nanny AKA Techlusion)

I'll toss my vote into the mix- Muzzys stainless steel for the $/hp value. I run the titanium but cost wise to performance you can't beat the stainless steel Muzzys! Plus being SS you can wrap the header with thermalwrap and still be almost HALF the price of the other systems and make near the same power.

what will i get? hmmm, lets see.....

prior to this post, i had it narrowed down to an akra c/f oval, and a hindle c/f oval, with muzzys and tiforce running a close 3rd, currently i am at the same point but considering yoshimura as well. i'd probably buy a muzzys system if i knew that it would be somewhat quiet and not melt plastic; that doesnt seem to be the case however. if yosh is as good as has been claimed in this thread, i'd gladly buy yosh, i like them a lot. i just didnt think that yosh was competitive with the other listed products.

so i am actually more confused now than i was before. thanks again to all respondents of this thread, clearly muzzys has a strong following with zx12 owners.

uggh ,

jason

No melting on mine. Would you like me to pull my plastic off and take pictures ??? I believe if you put the mid pipe on wrong you'll have a melting problem. I didn't have a problem on my 2000 either. I did wrap the pipe on my '02 after it was on a while because I wanted the extra insurance. I can't be the only one without a problem.

As far as the noise I have the carbon oval and don't find it too loud at all, but you can always run the quiet canister if you want it extra quiet.
