Less slip = more life. They will work just fine in any ZX12 clutch combo. They will stiffen up the lever pull a bit. I can change the springs in less than 1/2 hour. But that is me(in a John Candy voice).

Changin springs is gravy if you have a drill with an allen bit

Doing it by hand would take significantly longer.

Take off the clutch cover....unscrew each bolt...replace the spring..screw it back in.

Schnitz Racing sells a set of heavy duty springs for the 12R. If you primarily race use all six but if you ride on the street and race every once in a while just use three of them. I have no experience with the ZX6R springs I use (3) stock 12R springs and (3) Schnitz springs.

I remember now, I have 3 stockers and 3 from a 2001. Remember they are longer and stiffer.

In fact I have a set I bought from Bergie. Six of them 30 bucks plus shipping. Brand new on the card.

The only thing it will hurt is your hands and maybe stretch your clutch cable a bit. Stop and go traffic could be a bummer.

Get rid of both the small fibers and replace them with regular ones...get rid of those small "rings" too.

no...they only fit inside the smaller fibers..when you replace those..the springs have to go too

Make sure you get BOTH springs off the back of the clutch

chalk up another broken #1 fiber. Man, what is it with those things and why haven't I broken one yet?

I guess I'm not riding hard enough.

I am still using the original pusher and have been running all six ZX-6r springs for almost 2 years (I have smoked a few steels and worn out fibres) I'm on my 3rd set (one set was used from another person). I've made a lot of runs down the strip and many many wheelies.
