YourCarIsSlow-questions 4-u

You mentioned threading the airbox was the hardest part of the install of your nitrous kit.
Can you tell me where exactly you threaded it into the box or post a photo showing where? Was it directly into plastic? I am pretty interested in making this my next project.

Thanks

Sorry about the delay...I was in daytona for the weekend.

I tapped my airbox about 1" forward of the fusebox right between the two wire bundles.

I also have pics on my website http://www.dontbescaredracing.com/photos/n20/

This shot shows the nozzle directly in the welded portion of the gastank support bracket at the same angle as the airfilters. This area is thicker giving you more material to tap threads for the nozzle.

Perfect, Thanks very much for the photos. I was actually thinking about adding material for the threads. For some reason I was thinking it would go into plastic. I have never run a nitrous bike before so I am researching my options. I am thinking about a 40ish hp shot with a rev limiter safety, does this sound about right?

I did mine exactly like Bergie. The big nozzle makes 54 horsepower on my 1361 in that location. I am using a 2.5 lb. bottle in the tail section. I have a FSD undertail that is not as roomy as a stock undetail. But even so I am able to put a 2.5 lb bottle anyway.

I dont know who "bergie" is but are all of you running the same "kit"?
Can you post vendor part numbers or "kit" specifics?

Thanks
