I ride my bike WELL into the NJ winter (with my nice gerbin heated stuff). I have a pc-IIIr and I've never had a problem - just WATCH OUT FOR YOUR COLD TIRES! The '12 WILL break the tires lose MUCH easier in the cold. I actually crashed last year because of cold tires .

The Power Commander should not be bothered by the cold. Don't allow your battery to go dead and freeze. That will kill kill your battery.

I live in Utah and have never had a problem. The lowest temp since I have lived here was 7F. No problems with the bike. The lowest temp that I have gone riding was 23F, that made for a chilly ride, but I had to go riding.
