High/low idle

When I let off the throttle and come to a stop,my idle stays at around 2500 rpms.Than after about 5 seconds,it drops down to 15-1300 rpms.I'm not sure if this is also related, but it will buck at 5-10% throttle sometimes.Any theories?

No way of knowing if it is mapping because the dyno readings aren't that low.I am wondering if my tps is getting corrupt.Sometimes when I go to take off,I have to work the throttle like a big turbo to bring the rpms up.

pete,
as above, 1st check that throttle cables are correctly adjusted, not pinched anywhere.

as you suggest, check TPS setting (1.086V?) at idle

i really doubt it is the map unless there are some crazy numbers in it

you can also check the throttle body sync if none of the others do any thing for you.

How would I check for a vacuum leak? Would I just spray some penetrating oil around the boots? I'm still fighting this problem.Great luck I have, snapped one of the TPS screws in the throttle body.Waiting on the wd40 to work now.

I tried setting the TPS but could not get a good voltage reading.I have 5vdc supply but could never get above.009vdc on the setting. So I manually adjusted it to the highest rpm while idling and then brought it down by the idler screw.I also added some more fuel by way of the button for the low rpm circuit. What a difference that made.Smoothed out the idle and took away the bucking. This thing is pulling hard now! I forgot that it could light up the tire on just throttle at 30mph with a 260lb. fatass sitting on it.Happy happy!! Now to get the air shifter working and I can try a test and tune.
