16/44 sprockets and Wheelbase
Do I remember someone saying that the 16/44 sprocket setup put's your axle back about as far as it can go for a little added wheelbase??
I usually just run a -1T up front, stock rear. That puts me around the 3rd or 4th mark on the swingarm.
Then, using a different chain,....I added a +1T rear sprocket and the *length* was perfect. I got about another 1/2" of wheelbase!! I loved it, but the +1T was too much for me at the track! (darnnit!)
So, assuming all 530 chain links are the same length pin to pin, I was wondering if the 16/44 put's your wheelbase waaaay at the back?

it does...ALL the way to the back. I think my chain now is beginning to stretch as i have no more turns left in the adjustment screws on the swingarm to tighten the chain anymore.
Im going to switch to a 45t rear if the chain gets any looser.

BA,
Do it Man! You will love it for sure. Chad runs 16/44 and it's turning 12k through the traps and the extra wheelbase really pays off. Money says you'll pick up a tenth. Good luck.

17/45
Anybody try a 17/45 ? Hard to believe, but when I went from the stock 18 to a 17t sprocket, the front end stays down more, go figure....
