Help on undertails.....
i can't remember what the name of the web site is and hoping for some help. the undertail has GP/R1 type lights, a clear cover over the lights and a chrome piece around the lights.
That web site would be nice or any other web site with kick ass undertails-thanks guys......

Oh, the picture of the red one in the middle is my 2000, after I wrecked it. Click it to get a larger view and you can see the canister is scraped, the right peg is dangling, pieces of plastic broken and missing, the clutch cover scraped and oil on it. All that white stuff on the right side is concrete dust.
I guess it's the "takes a licking and keeps on ticking" shot. It's hard to see but there's a nice tire mark on the undertail where the rear compressed hard enough to rub the undertail.
I repainted that same undertail and installed it on my new 2002.

I give those guys 2 thumbs up, i have one of their undertail on my 02 model, and the fit and finish is perfect, it was east to install, adn with a taillight integrator it makes it easy for the cages to see me. Wouldnt put anyother undertail, or recommend anyone else go to something different either. If it aint broke dont fix it. and they definately arent broke. Dont even think twice about it......Jim

Curious if the storage box in the back could be retained with those kits? I couldnt keep mine with the Competition Werkes tailkit I put in.

You can either trim the box a little and keep it, or remove it and use all the space. I removed it and custom mounted the computer and PCIII and have more room than with the box stock.
I've got some pictures of that around here somewhere, I'll try to locate them.

Do you put anything on the side? Exspecially the left side, where water comes up so easily, gets everything all wet when riding.

It won't float, but it fits well enough that no water comes in. I've done extensive accidental field testing by getting caught in a lot of rain and that underseat is the only thing that stays dry.
