adding fuel for 1270 kit question
so what do you guys think about fueling for the 1270 kit vs 1200. is it going to be a lot of fuel added ? do i really need bigger injectors for 1270? i know a better fuel pump should be used i can not remember what doug said a number of years ago about how much hp the stock pump will handle.
i will say this i seariously do not think i will use nitrous. i know it is bang for the buck i guess i am old skool and think if it don't run just spray it. i like barefoot all motor.if i had 5 bucks for everyone that thought i was spraying my car to get 10.30s i would have some spare cash.

Unless you have a full out N2o setup like Scott or some others, I don`t think a 50 to 60 hp shot is worth the hassle....From what I hear you really don`t get much except for moe MPH...And thats on the safe side....on a dry shot....And I`m a N2o freak...All my dragbikes were N2o....But on these bikes unless I can spray 100 hp shot +, progressivly, I aint doin it....JMO.....

i run a stock pump, stock injectors. enough pump/flow for a 1287 and a 30hp dry shot easy.
i plan on letting you guys know how dads bike makes out with a 50 shot dry on a 1287, stock 00 pump and injectors.

I understood a 1290 motor required an aftermarket fuel pump on 00/01 motors?

my logger says otherwise. the "general standard" seems to be 200hp max, but Wayne Lawson ran i think over 260hp on stock stuff. the page is down with the info, not sure if Lash is bringing it back or not.... but i know my bike was running rich enough for a 30hp dry shot, and the pc map wasnt even close to being maxxed

Small dry shot should be fine. Same with a 1270....but both? Dennis you're gonna blow something...maybe ok for short 1/4 stuff but its pushing the edge....when I spray 50 duty cycle is alarmingly high...like 90 something %!!! Depending on bottle pressure I've seen 100 and quickly got off the button. Alcindus (RIP) blew his 1270 with a 70 shot if I'm not mistaken. I think you're ok with a 30 or so....besides at stock WB the 1270 and 30 shot will have you fighting wheelies again at the strip!
00 model? Get the walbro fuel pump for peace of mind....still ain't enough? THEN go with bigger injectors (370cc from RC ENG) or an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

ship i am going to say i doubt i will ever spray anything i have. i will do it all engine or not do it. for now that is how i am thinking. i just want to know how much hp the flow rate of the pump and injectors can handle and be ok doing it. i can not imagin a short bike will like 1270 mods and spray also.

just spray it from 3rd gear on, you will be fine
