Kind of interesting thing happened at the regional drags here in the Northwest. The regional was in Yakima, WA and as has been the case in the Northwest of late more and more guys are showing up with Snowmobiles for drag racing. Anyway one of the guys that qualified to go to the regional was on a snowmobile and he went on to finish in the top three spots in the Regional. Thereby qualifying him to go to the National in Pamona. Ther was a big stir over this because no one was prepared fopr a sled to qualify! After some discussion and phone calls apparently the guy got the OK to go.
Something else to do with the Snowmobile in the summer!!!

I just put one of those new Yamaha RX1 sleds together the other day, what a pain in the ass to get together but it's a beautiful snowmobile. With a the R1 motor it went 127 in the 1/4 and its stock.

J, I'm in Kingsford(Iron Mtn. on the map) That loop between Kenton and Watersmeet is great 'eh? Love that ride and the trail going North of Sidnaw. (Ever see the Paulding light while you're up there?) Got some tighter stuff locally, one we call "the snake trail", big fun. Wis has some good stuff too, I got 2 weeks off at Christmas/New yrs, Lets ride!
Heading for Copper Harbor next weekend on the bikes for a color tour.

I havn't done any serious sledding in years. Used to live in Thief River Falls, Mn. home town of Artic Cat. Just to be different I drove a Kawasaki sled. Bought a ZR580 a year ago for the kid to ride but just not enuff snow around hear.
