2-3 month engine swap

going to try to do one of the hardest thing

swaping a zx12 engine and ecu in to a 1986 zx6
it will take 2-3 month (guessing on time frame) due to modification's to the frame, brakes, cables,ect.. waiting for part's

now why not just buy zx12?

takes all the fun out of working on the bike
challenging
insurance will only cost $14 month
and best part it will be a zx6 with a monster zx12 engine

i've got a line on a zx12 engine complete with ecu from nyc
hopefully will get the eninge in a week or two

hopefully it be a successful swap
heres a pic of the bike that the motor is going in to

this will be interesting. i hope you have a torch and tig ready for motor mounts what plans do you have for the air box and ram air? if you have to fab something you may want to just run a low boost setup? 6-7 psi on a stock motor should be ok... 240ish hp?

A local Mechanic put a busa engine in a 750 gsxr frame. The installation was impeccable, but the bike wasn't ez to ride. It eventually ended up on the show room floor and sat there for months. Hope your project bike turns out better for you.

I don't see that chassis being able to hold up to what the 12R engine weight and power output will comand of it.
