Fuel Injection Instant Rich?
Is there a way to lock the fuel injection to full rich to use with a dry nitrous system like the MPS Fast FI box does?

that is the wrong way to add fuel. it makes the injector duty cycle hold at 100%, you really dont want over 90. if you get a pc3usb and hub you can do the map switch feature when on nitrous to richen the fuel amount.

several ways to do it, but holding the injectors at 100 percent DC is asking for trouble. pc w/map switch, resistor with the coolant temp sensor, or pressurise the fuel pressure regulator with regulated co2. depends on how big you want to go, what pump and injectors are at your disposal ect ect.

I've got one of Brad O'Connors boxes on mine - anything ove 80% of full throttle the injectors max out. Been on there five seasons, no problemo. Keith

I would like to find a way to make the injectors go full rich without having to buy a MPS box or a PCB USB with hub. Basically I want to know what kind of signal the MPS box sends to the injectors to make them go full rich. I do know that if you send to much current to the injectors it will hurt them quick. If I could I would like to lock the injectors in at maybe %95 duty cycle rather than %100 because like KZScott said running them at %100 percent is hard on them.

Keith,
Could you give some details on the Brad O'Connor box? I am not familiar with it. Thanks.

Brad designs and produces his own electronic products through a company called BTC Motronics. His boxes are sold for him by BiggCC Racing over here in Woking, Surrey. I think you'll find all the details on their web site. Quite a lot of people use his nitrous control box over here for small dry kits like 50 shot. I've run mine with a 70 shot by increasing the fuel pressure from 43 to 60 psi so the stock injectors pass an extra 15% fuel when they're on. I had the stock injectors cleaned and then flow checked at the two fuel pressures to see the difference. However so far have been quickest on the 50 shot (9.08/157) but haven't had the track time to sort out the extra gas. Cheers, Keith

Thanks for the info keith. How did you raise your fuel pressure to 60 psi.?

with the map switch feature you could see what number in the pc map got as high as 95% DC(on a dyno or with the correct logger). switch to that map while spraying. adjust the nitrous to get your proper afr.
add the amount of fuel you want to make power with, then tune afr with nitrous. fuel makes power not nitrous

I fitted an adjustable fuel regulator after taking the stock one off the fuel rail and drilling out the inside so I had something to collect the hose to still. This is the hose that returns the unused fuel back to the tank, I put the adjustable fuel regulator in this hose line. One thing about Brad's box on the 12R, it is not gear selective, works on all gears so you can't select gas to come in in second gear for instance. Hope this is a clear descrition of the installation. Keith
PS - I've also modified my clutch to hydraulic using a ZZR1100 handlebar master cylinder and home made slave cylinder fitted in the clutch cover - got fed up with breaking pullers and operating rod ends with my lockup.
