Zx12R A model GPS Mount

Well i was messing around in the garage relaxing after removing the Kleen Air from my bike

I had a GPS Handlebar mount on my bike it worked ok but would be nice if it was in the center of the Triple Clamp then i had a brain storm i ran down to Ace Hardware and picked up
12MM FLAT HEAD HEX

M12 Hex Connecting Nut mine was 13mm on the outside so i had to file .5mm off each side to get it to fit but its tight!

and i reused my ball from the Handlebar Mount it is 17mm your might be different i know ace hardware had 3/4" and 1" balls so you could get them there if those are the sizes you need

1. I took off the Center nut on the triple tree inserted the M12 Hex Connecting Nut
2. Using the 12MM FLAT HEAD HEX put it through the bottom of the hex hole in the triple nut securing the Connecting Nut and reinstalled with a 12mm wrench
3. Then i removed the ball stalk from the handlbar mount and threaded it to fit the Connecting Nut put a thin locking nut on and mounted it to the Connecting Nut all done.

and here it is

yes just screw it in but thats just for my mount what ever ball you use would most likely be threaded so all you would need is a longer flat head bolt and pass it through the connector nut onto the ball

I have the same cover sly. In fact, that's MY seat! Custom seat creations used my seats to model their 12r line! It should match perfectly:

Yeesh, if I hadn't moved from the greater Boston area we'd be peas in a pod!
