Clutch

What is the best fix for the stock clutch in the 2000 model? Is it a problem for anyone else? My friend has fixed his and its broke again. Something about the fork thing. Is there a way to make this better?

the only "fork" i can think of would be a shift fork.

i'm NO 12 expert at all, BUT, i'f i'm not mistaken, i believe it's a hydraulic clutch and pushrod setup similar to my 7-R?

i believe that baskets are fairly similar as well.. Hmm.. can you get pics or (sorry!!) a better explaination? i wanna help!!

then again, maybe our fellow hotshots already know what you're asking?! haha

good luck in the meantime!

its a cable clutch in a 12 not hydraulic clutch. very common problem if stack height is too low. you can fix the puller rod, but unless you replace the pusher too, and bring stack height into spec, it will keep on breaking. been there done that when i first got my 01

proof, and me looking very new to this game lol

you want beefy and hydraulic, look at a 14! over kill imo
the 12 clutch works very well with it setup correctly, especially if you can set up a lock up. i went from running 6 muzzy hd springs to some light mtc springs. i can pull the clutch lever in with one finger lol
