I live on a half mile dirt road. With the stock filters (regularly oiled) I consistantly had grit in the airbox/frame. I found that the BMC "race" filters filter MUCH better than the stock filters. I havent had any grit in over a year.

12r boyz...i will be placing my bmc order by 3pm(est) tomorrow need input...please..before a pull the trigger and order....please.
Voz...thinking seriuosly about ordering those bear stacks too..this $350.00 has to go before my wife finds out i have it...lol...lol...seriuosly. :-)

Moody: thats the way i was when i had about $550...i get everything mailed to the job...he he he.... But come this thursday i will have a little more change...will order BMC street filters, Bear stacks... and i think that is it.. all my money will let me do...
I also think that is all the power i need.....HHHMMMM maybe a 40shot of NOS.....JK

well couldn't wait...ordered the street bmc from racerdiscount.com...they sent me a e-mail stating the air filter will arrive on or before 9/17. i'm ordering the bear stacks tomorrow...

Any body seen any dyno runs with the BMC and the Bear Stacks?? Is there really any advantage??
What exactly are "Bear Stacks"?

kgzx12r...i read that it's hard to really judge how much performance you may get from adding bear stacks...since a dyno can't account for 100 to 150 mph winds flowing threw your ram air system...from what i've heard..bear stack are a 3hp to 7hp improvement on dyno's now real world 100-150 mph winds flowing threw your ram air system who knows what improvement or hp you will get.

I would buy the BMC filters. The K&N is a joke how it is removed. They should sell it with a screw driver to pry out the filter. Both a great at filtration, but the K&N was not engineered for the real world application. Specifically removal.

Two things! Moody, "Racer Discount dot com" is the place to order the BMC Filter! Price includes Shipping and I ordered a set of Race filters! (Have a set of Street K&N Filters) It looks like K&N "Remanufactured" Their filters and now maybe no screwdriver will be needed!
Bear Volocity stacks are a very carefully machined from billet Part that takes the place of your stock rubber Boots! Your stock boots are 2 MM smaller than the inlet of the throttle bodies! Not talking out of school, Pierre found that the Shape of a certain manufactures stack produced the best Horse Power and carefully matched this curve to the shape of the stock stack! Yes they produce between 3 to 7 HP "Static" HP! The feeling is that they "RELEASE" about 15 to 20 more hp on top end because that is what it takes to go 5 to 7 MPH faster (from 195 to 202)Orient Express just got a small shippment! They will do the most good if you are drag racing or land speed racing! FOr street riding, mostly just a work of art that only you know about and will have seen!!

vince...thanks..we race on the highway every now and again (150 to 170 mph)...it would be worth 200 bucks to me to have that advantage. ;-)

HMMM ..Moody i will have to catch you on I-40 one of these days... Everybody i run with cant hang... R1.. the the guy claimed he put 6k in motor, zx-9's, Gixxer 1k... I cut all their heads off....U be next...lol...but we will have same mods so it comes down to u and me baby!!......When are we gonna get up?....17t will be picked up tomm in Durham.. Hopefully i can get your help installing it... I have to wait till friday to order stacks and filters.... Hopefully i'll get the stacks with the GOOD "O" rings.... WOULD THAT BE THE CASE VICENTHILL!!

I like 40 best......... get past exit 312 and it is wide open... Not a problem with pc3... i got maps ....when can u hook up with the 17t?... where did u get the pc3 and how much?...paid 330 for mine at team powersports in garner
