Power corrupts!
Just out on my lowly 156 horse 92 Zx-11 on the weekend. Man, that bike felt like an anchor. I mean I was beating on it and it just felt SLOW!!!! I must be a sick puppy!
Riding in this morning on the Zx-12r, felt what I had become used to. Gobs of torque everywhere, 90 mph first gear and sore right elbow from working the throttle will trying to hold on. And of course that smirk on the face for the rest of the day, waiting for that ride home.

Wasnt the 91 and up ZX-11 the fastest motorcycle up until like 98?? It's been a while, but I think I remember reading that back in the day. Any insight or clarification??

The Zx-11 was the fastest production motorcycle from 1990 until the black bird beat it by -- drum roll please -- 1 mph. with an extra 87 cc's and 8 years of development.

Frank, I'd be glad to help you out here, when do you want me to come and get that old slow anchor of an 11 and haul it away? Heck I wont even charge you for the fuel to drive up north and pick it up! Anything for a fellow board member

Ozzy, I'd take you up on that if I did not need a two up bike-lol. No I will keep this bike, its just scary how one becomes immune to "lower" hp bikes once you have tasted power.
As for the ones running NOS on the street, 1270 or 1361, you guys and gals are on glue-:-) lol
PS-this last statement only qualifies of course if you run it WOT on any Sunday :-)

The power is intoxicating! Maybe it is the glue? 1361 with NOS, doesn't everybody?

I here surplus is still selling JATO bottles!
JATO - JET ASSIST TAKE OFF - a true bottle rocket good for 1000 lbs of thrust. Once lit, you are along for a 8 second ride - and definately a one way one at that lol !!!!!!!

Reminds me of the Darwin award a few years back where the guy strap a JATO on his car and found out that a solid fuel rocket once lit burns until it is out of fuel or in his case plants itself in the face of a mountain!!
