Ok thinking of putting bars on the 12.

My question is how hard are they to ride??

any tricks to it?

Any tips?

Thanks in advance.

I had zero experience with them until Swft put a set on his bike. Typical Swft, he put them on, invited me over to be the guinea pig. So as usual what the hell. We rolled it out on the street in front of his house, he grabbed the video camera and I took off down the street turned around, grabbed a hand full of throttle, dropped the hammer, the bike launched a little sideways and I proceeded to lay about a 200 foot three gear burnout. Swft dropped the video camera when the bike jumped sideways and started running!! Coward!!!

Wheelie bars turned out to be easy and a kick in the pants! The whole drag racing thing changes (gets easier) with the bars.

Pingle Bars, Pingle Bars, Pingle all the way!

You better think about a 7" slick as well. Unless you like putting on a show for the crowd. I would spin the back tire at half track in third gear on the wheelie bars. Depending on your weight, go to a 17/48 or 17/50 combo. I launched the bike at 9500 rpm. The hit off the line is a lot harder, and that takes getting used to. But the whole thing feels really good, when you don't have to worry bout a wheelie.

Thanks Swift definet on the pingle bars and I have the gearing coverd
The slick will have to wait for now this is almost the last race of the year
and I don't want a slick sitting around all winter.

Thanks

Ah, ok. Then reduce your tire pressure down in 5psi increments, but don't go below about 15psi. That will at least get you off the line ok. First time I tried a high rpm start, was running about 25psi, and *scrubbed* a clean spot on the concrete pad. Took off all the builtup rubber, right down to the concrete. Crowd loved it, but obviously, not a goot ET.

I put a wheelie bar on my 1st zx12 for 2 runs down the track. After that they came off and i sold them for 50 bucks. The bike had about 300kms on it and i almost lost it.The track we were at was real bumpy and the bike would start bouncing side to side looking for traction about half track.I mean it felt like 3 feet side to side.Scared the shit out of me and i also ride a 7 second dragbike. The only way i'd put a bar on a bike is with a slick and remember to take out your shock and stut the rear suspension.

It was a rush, especially on some of those not so good tracks i.e.Budweiser Park in Edmonton AB. I could not talk properly at the end of the runs.lol.But I played with too many things and can't get the bike running right this year.
