Not another '02 vs '00 thread....
Well not really, but I was hoping for some positive reinforcment..lol.
My '00 silver is on the block. Got a buyer very seriously interested at a good $$ for both of us. So Im at a crossroads right now.
Spending time around DID's blue '02 in May really had be going back and forth on the merits of *upgrading*. There are some nice subtle upgrades to the '02. BUT, 00-01 owners are faced with a very "soft" resale market now, making the upgrade decision not wise one...at this point. My bike has 18600 miles and has be relatively trouble free.
I have a love hate thing going on with the blue/black/gold 02. I like the black look, but not the deep navy blue under intense light. I like the 02 blue, but would have to restyle the paint scheme some to my tastes. The red...out of the question....lol.
I know the *diehards* are gonna say stick with the '00. Would you guys think any less of me on an 02...lol 
If the opportunity presented itself, would you go for it?
Should I keep the 00?

Hmmmmmmm.......
If you can bring another rider into the 12 family, do it. Sell him the bike and get the blue one that you like.

I still think the silver is the bomb. I think you should keep it.
I think your bike would look even better with that Kawasaki lettering off the tank, and some carbon fiber ram air covers!!

Have you actually riden the 02 12? I think once you ride it, you will see the improvement Kawasaki made. I think it's worth it. My two cents.

for what you can put in upgrades on the money loss your gonna take with trade in or sell out right i would keep the 00.the 02 is better,but not that much.
think of all the nice things you can do with a few grand to your bike you would save.thats why i kept my 01.there's always 03 right round the corner!
just my .02.

Well, I wouldnt have considered the 02 normally, but poking around DIDs bike in May I did notice the subtle updates and upgrades. Ive also heard a few tidbits about the motor that makes its more appealing as well. Im getting a fantastic price for my 00, so thats the reason for the change. Although in my searches Ive found quite a few nice 01s loaded going for dirt cheap! If only I had the garage space.
