Stupid Bitch hit my bike and now the speedo won't work!
I can't believe it ! I'm a school teacher K- 6 and the principle demands that we park in the back of the school. Of course I was needed mid day at our second campus site. So there was no place to put my bike except in the car area. So I park my bike in a in plane site, well atleast I thought. Well a fellow teacher comes running in and she said " I just hit your bike" Of course I was thinking it was a joke. But when I went out side my ZX was on it's side!
The bitch has no insurance and of course I do not have full coverage on a salvage restore title bike! Of all of the people to hit my bike! Of course I could not express what I was really thinking becuase I had 1st and 2nd graders around! As a matter of fact a little girl told me I looked sad and asked me if I needed a hug! LOL! ( I guess I can laugh a little bit now)
Man that bike is heavy! I took a look to at the damage and my mirror was trashed. They were not stock so I have no idea where to get one that is a match. So I have to replace both. The right side lower fairing has big crevis on the fin and cracks now. But the worse of it all is the speedo has stopped working! When I turn the key it goes all of the way up and then back . However when it's moving I get no reading. Where should I start?
Sorry it's so long but I'm still pissed.

There is a sensor on top of the motor, near starter.
It reads the trans. 1 (10mm ) bolt if i remember correctly.
Do you have a manual?

I'm going to my local Kawi dealer tomarrow morning to find a manual. If I can't find one there I will order one off of the internet. However I would like to get if fixed by the end of the weekend.

could not find a manual locally but I did go through and wiggle the wire harness and now I have a speedo again. Now I need to get mirrors real cheap just to last out the rest of the season. I plan on doing a winter paint job and that's when I'm going to spring for some better mirrors. Any recomendations will be apprecieated in terms of a place to get ZX12 mirrors or after markets really cheap and fast.
