Tank #1 - Leaked. By the time the second tank came in, the original tank was leaking at a rate of almost 1 oz. per HOUR!
Tank #2 - Damaged in shipping. Due to KHI's insanly stupid packing of the tank by using a 1" thick piece of styrofoam on the bottom of the box, both bottom edges lips of the tank had cut through the styrofoam and were bent in. They were bent almost 90 degrees in! Dealer let me use the tank until a replacement arrived. That is, AFTER we bent the lips back far enough so we could lower the tank into it's proper location.
Tank #3 - Damaged in shipping. Same problem, but not as bad. Almost wouldn't notice it if it weren't for the chipped and cracked paint where the edge lips are bent.
Tank #4 - We have not got around to ordering yet.
What sucks is that the foam pad that is stuck to the bottom of the tank is not part of the recall and it can't be easily transfered from tank to tank. Though the part is not expensive, my dealer has had to pay for two of them and will be paying for a third... all because KHI hasn't figured out how to ship a frickin' gas tank.
