Untill you run your nice big engine lean at high speed, because the ECU see's lower pressure in the system (at this point it will lean you out).

Melted pistons look REALY cool

All I can say is it worked for me and no stock engined 12R (or Busa) has come anywhere near at Elvington after it was fitted. The gap was huge.

Theorise all you like but i am a believer as the top end rush was phenomenal. Waaaaay better than with just the pipe alone.

Worth a try. Remember they said this about the bear stacks after a few found they made no difference in testing. But they made a big difference at the top end in the real world.

I have had zero problems with my setup. My bike makes great horsepower, and is extremely fast. It pulls redline and to the rev limiter without hesitation, regarless of the gearing I have thrown on it. And nothing short of a jet plane has passed it. Does the snorkel add to this I neither care or give a rip. I can say that in my nearly 50 years of life and involvment in racing cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, gerbals, frogs etc. I have learned that not everything can be explained immediately by science. I won a Gold Medal in a ISDE event because I could start my XR250 Honda using a starting sequence that was absolutely rediculous and stupid. The problem was it worked everytime. The experts could not explain it, but they could duplicate it and guess what their bikes started!

While I do not claim to be an expert drag racer, I am an expert roadracer, and I have spent hours on the race track with my 12, and in my neck of the woods / world I have also had the luxury of riding my bike wide open for very long periods of time in Eastern Washington. Again no issues.

While I have not had the chance to run on the salt (that will be taken care of in October) I do have a fair understanding of speed, as the State Patrol clocked my 1386 XX Blackbird at 213 mph. My carburated Blackbird did experience issues with the ram air, it was not original equipment on the 97 bird but as a part of HRC's interest and cooperation they provide Mike Velasco with the components to install and experiment with ram air on our XX project. The ram air worked so well that we actually found it necesary to reduce the size of the intakes on the XX. Another story another time!

With all that said, as I stated in a previous post, most of the things we put on our motorcycles are primarily for our personal gratification. There is not a man or women on this board with perhaps the exception of Mr. Hill that have the experience and skill level to actually ride the 12 to or near it's full potential in stock form! I have always laughed at people as well as myself as I had my KX 500 and or CR 500's pumped up, port polished, piped etc. The bikes killed people stock, and there are or were only two or three men in the world capable of riding these bikes at or near their potential stock let alone pumped up. I bought a lot of grips for those bikes as I usually hung on with a death grip.

This also demonstrates why we have so many choices, colors etc. Of course if you chose a color other then the fast green color you made a big mistake!!
