converting to run on E85
any one thought about converting what ever we need to do to run on E85. aside from what ever we need to do to convert it is rated at around 104 octane and builds more torque and will run cooler.

I have heard of several people converting F body GM cars (LS1-LS2) but I think they have to raise compression substantially to realise HP gains. You will use ALOT more fuel. Not sure if the injectors would flow enough either.

E85 is conductive, so I don't think the stock in-tank fuel pump would work.

well it builds torque and a bit of hp. runs cooler. the bottom end power will be better though not sure about increase in power with more compression.like cheeper race gas.even if u burn twice it will be less than 6 bucks compaired to 9 for race gas. with cooling as a bonus.
the duster on the other hand will be eaiser and already be at or close to 13 to 1.

Don't get me wrong, gasoline is no eco-friendlier solution. But then if we were going for eco-friendly we'd probably be on the vespa forums wouldn't we.

some day i will try methonal. e85 sounds like a good try except i run 112 sunoco and this e85 is only rated 104ish. most say 1.5 to 3 tenths gain. but people that go to it in a car say it takes getting use to like starting and not getting a backfire that burns the hood scoop off.
some day. i just want it to work and get done and get back into the low 10s... would be cool of it was as guick as the 12. i think with in 4 tenths is going to be close enough for a average run. it should be in the 10.20s.or maybe hopefully on a real good air day 10teens.(if it will hook a cold track)
