Fan Switch Zhooligan requested a switch to turn on the fan. He wanted to keep the stock thermistor, and didn't want another switch hanging off his bike, so I used the emergency flasher switch. Looking at the circuit, the hazard circuit simple uses the turn signal circuit and joins the left and right signals together. Therefore, all I had to do was cut the orange, green and grey wire that came from the hazard switch, and use the green and grey wire to form a bridge in the fan circuit. Now he can turn on the fan whenever he wants by pushing the hazard switch. His blinkers still function normally, and the green and grey wire only needed a short extension to reach the fan circuit wires. It's important to cut all three wires coming from the hazard switch, and make sure that the same wires coming from the turn signal switch are intact.

Thanks! I dunno if I will do it to any of my bikes, I've never had an issue with either of them getting hot, even in city traffic.

Hey swift, Im trying to do this exact mod and wanted to ask a few questions....
1) When you cut the orange, green and grey wire, are you connecting the green and grey together, then splicing it into the blue thermo wire?
2) The orange wire remains unconnected and just cut?
3) When you clip the wires, what side of the din plug did you clip? The thicker side closest to the front of the bike or the thinner wires after the din plug towards the rear of the bike?
