Caps or No Caps? That is the Question. Help Fish.
Sometimes when I edit a post or reply my name must either be in Caps or in lower case. Whats up with that? Also look on the right side Last Date Posted my name will appear in upper case and in lower case. I don't have two user names. My user name and password are automaticaly put in and it still happens.

the case depends on how u logged in. ur username is case insensitive, but when u post, the system takes ur name from the cookie written when u logged in, which takes its case from what u typed in when u logged in. so log in with the case as u want it to appear. the edited by type of generated text may take it from the system & not ur cookie, not sure.

I logged in under the name ZX12ZX11. But it randomly goes between both upper case and lower case. Hell I don't know what to do. I'm still confused.

A good case in point would be the two threads above my user name. One is in caps and the other is in lower case. Still the same number of posts, same person. WTF?

he is saying yes.. it is the same person as the system is NOT case sensitive for usernames... therefore you could not register the username Y2K and y2k as they would be recognized as the same by the system, but you could LOGIN as either.... and the name you login under determines the displayed screen name when you post... therefore if you want your screenname to be displayed in caps then make sure you login in caps... and if you have a prob and it displays it mixed then at somepoint you logged in in lower case and this was noted in your cookie... to resolve this try deleting the cookie and then login in caps as the case sensitivity is stored in your cookie..... I think this is an accurate translation of freek's rambling rambles

I have only logged in once. Since then the Cookie has done it for me. I'll try logging off and see what happens.
