That is a good idea, but with the cometic gaskets, mine has been off at least 50 times.......
My issue is this............, I need to put a fan directly on the clutch............, when you hot lap, you need to cool the clutch.....,
put a big ass fan on a zx12 with the cover off and see what happens....., oil everywhere.........
But, wolf does have a good idea, but really, it only takes another minute or two, and you still have oil leakage either way.........
with a true quick access cover, no oil should ever come out...........

Nox, wild assed idea, ever thought about putting a fairly high pressure fan blowing thru a hole in the clutch cover with the air exiting thru the oil fill hole? you could machine the cover to take a small screw in cap. im thinking along the lines of an air pump you use to fill an air matress...

I spoke with Tim last night about this and sent him pictures of the MTC bearing in the hub. This will be included in the cover sa Tim is aware of the need to supprt the puller.

you definatly missed the point. it takes a lot of work to design a custom machined part, and a lot of work to set up a cnc machine to make it, but once its setup, you can make several more with little effort (no designing or setup costs, just the raw billet). a group of guys go in on a batch to cut costs for everybody. for example(made up numbers), it may cost you $1000 to make one, but only $100 more to make a second one. so if 5 guys each wanted one, the total would be $1400 devided by 5 =$280 each instead of $1000 each

NOX - For oil, we have a stand so the bike is leaning over, then fan over the top blowing in, and no oil comes out at all.
Cheapest way without going to the best way which is quick access.
chavcat - pics coming. I have to take some as I don't have any in my files. Over the weekend.

Wolf-thanks for the offer of the photos. Tim is really looking forward to the photos-try to take as many as possible in-line/perpendicular to the cases etc.
