How much will they be?

And how many bolts will have to be removed to access the clutch ?

Only real concern I have, is actually being able to blow a fan directly on the clutch......., without oil blowing out of the pan........lol

No photos available as Tim Hays has yet to start work on this. I am sending him my cover to use as a template. This will be designed to allow the cover to be removed to cool the clutch and will necessitate a spacer to run a lock-up.
I still need at 2 deposits of $250 ASAP.

There is a budget way to quick access.

We counter sank half the bolts into the clutch cover spacer and loctite it to the case. Then sealed the related holes on the clutch cover permanently. We now only have four short bolts and the cover is off. No need to reseal the spacer.

We have also taken the gaskets out and only use sealer on the cover.

The selector shaft spacer needs 2mm taken off to do this.

Never had a problem and no leaks.

Cover is off in a few seconds using a battery drill with allen key head in it.

Cost = a few hours to set up.

Wolf.

np Mike, but if these covers work well, im sure more guys will be interested in a tested and track aproved product.
right now im using the cordless drill method, which isnt that bad, but it would be nice if only the middle of the cover came off to allow acess to the snowflake. even with trimmimg the gaskets to fit the bottom of the cover on the inside, and tipping the bike over hard, i still get some oil dripping down the side.
Wolf, what gaskets do you use? Im thinking about trying the cometic one

KZScott,

As mentioned above, we don't run gaskets at all. We use three bond on the spacer to case face and it never comes off. It is bolted via counter sunk bolts. See pic here where you can see the spacer mounted to the case. Allen head bolts counter sunk.

The clutch cover holes are then sealed where (above) the counter sunk bolts are.

At the track, we have four bolts and the cover is off. Spacer doesn't need attention as it stays bolted.

We use a heat resistant sealant (just from the general auto shop) for the cover. No dramas.

To run without gaskets though you need to machine (needle file) the selector shaft spacer 2mm.

chavcat - you have mail.
